The Role

Become the second full‑time employee responsible for all things Security at Gigs. You’ll help us improve our corporate security posture as we scale our organization and business in the coming years. You will find and model threats and risks to our corporate environment. You drive architecture, prioritisation, and response. You build systems and automation.

What you will do

• Working across Google Workspace, Google Cloud, GitHub, 1Password and Linear to ensure we have the right configurations, processes and automations in place to work securely and fast.
• Improving our IAM configuration across corporate systems with SAML and SCIM.
• Working in Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect to secure our Mac‑based fleet.
• Securing our Google Cloud environment by working with products like Security Command Center, IAM, Identity‑Aware Proxy, and Privilege Access Manager.
• Setting up automation to improve our compliance audit evidence collection.
• Managing our corporate systems with Terraform.
• Improving our SIEM and alerting configurations.

What we are looking for

• You are experienced in corporate security and IT. You have worked in modern SaaS‑based stacks. You’ve seen it before, you know where to go fast and which pitfalls to avoid.
• You can program. You can write in Shell, Ruby, Go or Terraform to automate tasks when prudent with a high level of engineering excellence.
• You care about more than just security. You understand that a scaling business needs to make pragmatic decisions, making security an enabler for velocity.
• You are a consensus builder. You are great at understanding the needs of others, taking them along when driving decisions, and helping them when implementing changes.

Before You Apply

The truth is, what we’re building isn’t easy. We expect a lot, and operate with urgency and ownership. This won’t be the right place for everyone, and that’s okay.

This role probably isn’t a fit if:

• You need a lot of structure, or layers of process to do your best work.
• You prefer to specialize narrowly and wait for direction rather than taking initiative.
• You’re uncomfortable making decisions with imperfect information or wearing multiple hats.
• You’re looking for a “big company” setup — we’re still building many things for the first time.
