Our client is one of Europe’s top 15 banks by market capitalization with strong credit ratings.

As part of its strategic growth strategy in the DACH and Nordics regions, the bank is expanding its Frankfurt office. The branch has rapidly grown its corporate client base and business volume over the last four years. A key element of this growth includes hiring a Senior Coverage Banker focused on the Industrials, Retail & Consumer sectors.

Responsibilities:

Active origination of business leads with new and existing clients by providing the appropriate products and services with the aim to build a long-term, trustful client relationships.
Work closely with the product specialists of the branch and head office in originating and executing tailer made solutions for corporate clients.
Establishment of a regular and sophisticated client dialog at the level of Group Treasurers, Finance Directors and CFOs.
Liaise with relevant internal departments, including syndicate desk, project finance, asset finance, trade and working capital, ALM Desk, in originating, structuring, and closing transactions.
Accompany financing transactions during the entire life cycle of the transaction: from responding to RFPs to structuring, negotiating and the execution.
Prepare memorandums and proposals for internal stakeholders.
Participate in the negotiation of the structure and the legal documentation for complex transactions.
Develop innovative solutions and pursue a client-driven coverage approach.

Candidate Profile:

University degree; a master’s or postgraduate degree will be valued positively
Several years of experience in a corporate client-facing role in Germany
Strong knowledge of Corporates from the DACH region and deep product expertise across Debt Capital Markets, Trade & Working Capital, as well as Project and Asset Finance
Excellent relationships with Corporates from the DACH region within the Industrials, Automotive, Retail & Consumer sectors
Familiarity with Compliance and Regulation
Strong analytical and communication skills
Pronounced interpersonal skills and team player
Innovative thinker with commercial judgement
Proven track record of revenue generation
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken German and English, and (ideally) Spanish
