As a Customer Engineer, you are the guiding force behind bringing Collibra's product and vision to customers and prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Mapping solutions to value across large and dynamic EU customers, bridging both business and technical requirements.
  • Participating in discovery and driving the qualification of new opportunities, and expanding customers.
  • Preparing and conducting product demonstrations, highlighting how Collibra’s Platform can support our Enterprise customers’ needs.
  • Advising and supporting customers’ technical stakeholders to accelerate Collibra adoption and value realization; be the primary point of contact for technical and product‑related queries.
  • Identifying, evaluating, recommending, and executing value‑based workshops and proofs of concept.
  • Preparing and providing input for functional and technical sections of RFPs/RFQs.
  • Supporting sales and marketing activities, webcasts, field enablement, and asset creation.
  • Providing advice and feedback to product management and engineering to enhance our offerings.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a Sales or Customer Engineering or Sales Consulting role.
  • Broad SAP Portfolio Knowledge: strong functional and technical understanding of core SAP products, especially SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW, with modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and SAP Business Technology Platform.
  • Expertise in Integration: ability to clearly explain the technical integration between third‑party products and SAP, detailing data flows, process synchronization, and integration benefits.
  • Experience in Sales or Customer engineering in Enterprise land‑and‑expand motions.
  • Broad knowledge of data governance, catalog, quality, and privacy platforms, including value‑based selling, ROI analysis, and project management.
  • Experience as a Data Management practitioner in cataloging, integration, data quality, enterprise architecture, and governance boards is a plus.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance or (financial/IT) audit is a plus.
  • Experience with leading PaaS providers, data lakes, databases, and integration platforms – expertise in the data space is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (required).

  • Excited for continuous learning and development, with an aptitude for grasping technical concepts and linking them to business benefits.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% within the region.

Measures of Success

  • Within the first month, become familiar with Collibra and institutional knowledge of processes.
  • Within the second month, host discovery calls, basic demonstrations, and present the solution and its value.
  • Within the third month, become a voice for Collibra, demonstrating proficiency in the software and educating customers on features, roadmap, and customer‑cycle processes.
  • Maintain operational excellence in completing administrative tasks to support sales activities.
