For our Digital Transformation department at Plochingen we are looking for a
Senior Data Engineer (f/m/d)
Your Responsibilities:
You are responsible for building, operating, and optimizing scalable data pipelines - from on‑premises systems to modern cloud environments based on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
You develop and operate infrastructure-as-code solutions and implement dbt-based transformations.
You ensure that security and compliance requirements are met and you optimize pipelines in terms of performance, resource consumption, and cost.
Through close collaboration with production, IT, and business departments, you create a robust data platform that enables analytics, automation, and AI use cases in an industrial environment.
Your Profile:
You have a completed degree in business administration, (business) informatics, (industrial) engineering, digital business management, data science, or a comparable field of study.
Ideally, you also hold certifications such as Azure Data Engineer, Azure Architect, Databricks Certified Data Engineer / Architect, or Terraform Associate.
You have several years of work experience as a data engineer in an industrial environment and possess in-depth knowledge of Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
You are a team player with strong communication skills and enjoy contributing your expertise to cross-functional collaborations.
