The search team focuses on developing new technologies to provide the most relevant results, exploring and improving solutions for customer query understanding and product ranking.

About Your New Role

Work as an interface between Product Management, ML Engineers, and Analysts, delivering the best search experience.

Analyze large volumes of search data to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities, from customer segmentation to cleaning issues such as bot traffic.

Elaborate requirements for data‑driven solutions, identify dependencies, and lead development in collaboration with teammates, evaluating and implementing advanced technologies such as knowledge graphs, vector search, or ranking algorithms.

Contribute to continuous improvement of online and offline evaluation metrics, applying deep statistical methods and ML evaluation techniques, including LLM applicability.

Deliver robust solutions – services, APIs, dashboards, KPIs – to monitor impact and quality, using A/B testing to interpret causal effects.

Identify missing data elements to improve completeness and impact of solutions.

Job Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist with a track record of completed projects. Ph.D., M.Sc. or equivalent in Deep Learning, NLP, Statistics, or related fields.

Strong analytical mindset, able to work systematically, independently, and produce quantitative results.

Proficient in SQL and Python scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy, pandas). Excellent data visualizations.

Experience with causal inference, experiments, and A/B testing.

Good experience with ML packages beyond scikit‑learn, understanding classification, regression, and embeddings.

Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
