YOUR MISSION:

• Demonstrate excellence in creation and execution of innovative designs following the brand, category, and product strategies
• Take ownership of the whole design process, from ideation until final production approval
• Contribute to the formulation of the seasonal creative direction and support the Teamhead guiding and supervising the team through its implementation
• Elaborate and present concepts, sketches, and final designs in a compelling, clear, transparent, and effective way to the design team as well as our product counterparts and external stakeholders
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a holistic approach to the product as well as a consumer centered strategy, following the brand’s perspective
• Integrate product, functional, and technical developments into design tasks in order to improve business processes and enhance customer/consumer engagement
• Challenge the global brand positioning guidelines to ensure consideration of new product and program ideas and appropriate modification when necessary
• Collect market intelligence, providing all accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments and utilizing them effectively
• In support of the Teamhead, help to manage, mentor, and inspire other members of the design team as well as external resources (freelancers, etc)
• Keep track and support the team to deliver projects in line with PUMA development calendar.

YOUR TALENT:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Apparel Design in the sportswear or casual sports lifestyle industry in a performance category
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a leadership position
• Strong knowledge of fabrics and new industry technologies
• Very good sense for colors, creativity and design talent
• Excellent Macintosh skills and knowledge including Adobe creative suite
• Exceptional ability to see projects through all phases of research, design, initial and final prototypes
• Very good communication and presentation skills in English
• Flexible and well organized Teamplayer
• University degree in Design and/or relevant field of study
