Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Projects

A leading international data centre delivery contractor is seeking Senior Electrical Engineers to support the delivery of large-scale, fast-track data centre projects in Germany. The role is site-based and delivery-focused , working closely with Electrical Package Managers, MEP Leads, CSA teams, and commissioning stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and programme-driven electrical delivery.

This position suits an engineer with strong site execution experience , capable of operating in a high-pressure, multi-interface environment through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Delivery & Site Execution

• Support day-to-day delivery of electrical works on site, from installation through to commissioning and handover
• Oversee and coordinate electrical subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, to specification, and to programme
• Monitor quality, inspections, and testing activities across LV / HV systems
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, German regulations, and relevant standards

Coordination & Interfaces

• Work closely with CSA, Mechanical, and Commissioning teams to manage interfaces and resolve clashes
• Coordinate with designers to manage RFIs, technical queries, and design development on live projects
• Support sequencing of works in line with phased energisation and commissioning requirements
• Assist with short-term and look-ahead planning for electrical works
• Provide accurate progress reporting to the Electrical Package Manager / MEP Lead
• Support identification of risks, constraints, and recovery measures
• Support testing and commissioning activities, including witness testing and issue resolution
• Coordinate with commissioning agents, client representatives, and OEMs
• Assist in preparation of handover documentation and as-built records

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture on site
• Ensure electrical works are executed in line with RAMS and permit systems
• Support safe working in live or partially energised environments where required

Required Experience & Background

• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer (or Electrical Engineer ready to step up) on data centre, mission-critical, or large industrial projects
• Strong site-based electrical delivery background within a contractor or specialist contractor environment
• Experience working with LV / HV systems , critical power, and complex electrical infrastructure
• Familiarity with fast-track programmes and phased delivery
• Experience interfacing with commissioning teams and client stakeholders

Skills & Attributes

• Strong understanding of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning processes
• Confident communicator able to manage subcontractors and multiple stakeholders
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable operating under programme pressure and changing priorities

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent trade / technical background
• HV / Authorised Person experience beneficial

Language & Location

• Willingness to work site-based in Frankfurt or 90mins from Berlin
• EU right to work or appropriate work authorisation required
