Our client is a leading organization within the aerospace sector, recognized for its innovative engineering solutions and high-quality contributions to aircraft development. Senior Expert Avionics, Electrics & EWIS (m/w/f) to join the team.

Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: 3 months (with an option for extension)
Location: remote and in Munich
Workload: Full-time

Aufgaben

• Provide technical leadership for complex engineering tasks, both internally and with external partners
• Prepare technical assessments, trade studies, and associated decision dossiers
• Recommend and drive product improvements
• Safeguard company knowledge through intellectual property and patents
• Lead R&D projects and represent the company in industrial and institutional settings
• Define, develop, and improve engineering processes and procedures
• Identify and implement opportunities for digitalization and automation
• Conduct regular trainings for engineering staff and initiate improvement programs
• Develop strategies to build new strategic competencies
• Mentor junior engineers within the relevant field

Profil

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Extensive professional experience in avionics, electrical systems, or EWIS, preferably within the aviation or aerospace sector
• Strong technical leadership capabilities with the ability to guide complex engineering topics
• Proven experience in product development, R&D, and process optimization
• Knowledge of certification requirements and aircraft development processes is an asset
• Experience in preparing technical assessments and leading trade studies
• Familiarity with IP creation, patent processes, and safeguarding technical know‑how
• Ability to represent the company confidently in front of industrial and institutional partners
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for mentoring junior engineers
• Proactive mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and readiness to take on new responsibilities
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
