Seniority: Senior Finance Manager / FP&A Lead (PE-Backed Platform)
We are partnering with a top-tier private equity sponsor to recruit a Senior Finance Manager / FP&A Lead for one of its high-growth, acquisitive portfolio platforms. This platform is executing an ambitious, multi-market buy-and-build strategy across the UK and Europe, and is seeking a proactive, hands-on finance leader to professionalize financial reporting, drive operational excellence, and unlock tangible value across the business.
This is a rare opportunity for a high-performing finance professional to gain deep exposure to private equity operations, multi-entity financial management, and strategic decision-making, while playing a central role in shaping the platform’s growth trajectory. The role offers a fast-track pathway to Group Controller or CFO responsibilities, combining hands‑on execution, leadership, and strategic influence at the heart of a dynamic, investor-backed business.
Key Responsibilities
- Management & Reporting: Take full ownership of multi‑entity reporting, budgeting, and forecasting; convert complex financial data into strategic, actionable insights that shape executive decisions, drive investor confidence, and directly influence platform growth.
- M&A & Value Creation: Lead hands‑on support for acquisitions, due diligence, and post‑merger integration; proactively identify margin improvement, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency opportunities to unlock measurable value across the platform.
- Process & Systems Leadership: Architect, implement, and scale robust finance processes, controls, and ERP/reporting systems; professionalise the finance function and build scalable infrastructure to support rapid growth and multi‑site operations.
- Cash & Capital Management: Direct liquidity, working capital, and sponsor financing compliance; optimise capital structure, cash flow, and funding strategies to enable strategic acquisitions and accelerate portfolio expansion.
- Team & Stakeholder Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing finance team; act as a trusted partner to CFO, CEO, and PE sponsors, influencing strategic decisions, shaping the finance function, and embedding a culture of operational excellence.
Candidate Profile / Requirements
- 2–5 years in FP&A, Senior Finance, or multi‑entity finance roles; hands‑on experience in PE‑backed, high‑growth, or acquisitive environments strongly preferred.
- Deep technical expertise in accounting, consolidation, and financial analysis; professionally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) preferred, with proven ability to deliver across complex group structures.
- Direct exposure to M&A, integration, or value creation projects, with demonstrable commercial impact and measurable contributions to business performance.
- Ambitious, proactive, commercially minded, and ready to assume Group Controller / CFO responsibilities within 2–3 years; thrives in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments.
- Outstanding communicator and influencer; adept at engaging senior management, operational teams, and PE investors to drive alignment, decisions, and value creation.
This is a rare opportunity to gain direct PE exposure, influence strategy across multiple portfolio companies, and accelerate your path to senior leadership.
