About Us
At Marley Spoon, we’re on a mission to bring delightful, market-fresh cooking back to people while reducing food waste and improving how the food supply chain works.
Behind every box is a highly coordinated financial engine — from procurement to production to inventory to revenue recognition. Finance is not a reporting function here. It’s a decision‑making function.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be a strong analytical partner within our Finance team. You’ll ensure financial accuracy, support month‑end excellence, and help translate data into insight that drives business performance.
This role reports to the CFO EU and works cross‑functionally across operations and commercial teams.
What success looks like (6–12 months):
- Month‑end close runs smoothly with clean reconciliations and minimal surprises
- Financial statements are accurate, timely, and audit‑ready
- Budget vs. actual variance analysis drives meaningful stakeholder conversations
- Cross‑functional teams trust Finance as a proactive partner, not just a checkpoint
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
- Oversee general ledger activity including postings, reconciliations, and month‑end close
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Audit financial data to detect discrepancies and strengthen controls
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information flow
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting policies and procedures
This role balances precision with perspective — detail orientation without losing sight of the bigger picture
