Senior Financial Reporting Accountant – International Finance Team

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join a dynamic, international Finance & Accounting team. In this role, you will oversee key accounting operations, ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards, and provide high-quality financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

You will work on high-impact, multi-stream activities and collaborate closely with a supportive international team across nearshore and offshore locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in compliance with HGB and IFRS , supported by nearshore and offshore teams
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes , including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
• Lead the annual audit process , acting as the primary contact for external auditors and ensuring timely provision of documentation
• Develop, improve, and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Act as an interface to Group Tax , overseeing tax-related matters and ensuring compliance with support from nearshore and offshore teams
• Monitor cash flow and cash management activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to support business initiatives and finance projects
• Stay up to date with accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices
• Support the optimization and implementation of SAP FI , ensuring seamless integration with existing finance processes
• Train and support team members in the effective use of SAP FI , including troubleshooting and continuous improvement

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ; CPA or CMA certification preferred
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in accounting, with a strong focus on closing, reporting, and financial analysis
• Solid knowledge of HGB and IFRS and experience working with external audits
• Basic understanding of tax and foundational knowledge in treasury
• Strong proficiency in SAP FI and Microsoft Office
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach
• Fluency in English and German , written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, international environment
• Strong coordination skills when working with nearshore and offshore teams
• Genuine interest in Information Technology and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is highly valued
