Position Overview

Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is a core business department in the Corporate Bank working with clients around the globe. The group is working on a technology refresh of their IT platform to enable new services and products for customers and to achieve next‑level business process automation and reduce transaction costs.

Would you like to join a successful in‑house technology team designing, building and rolling out into production its strategic platform for TF&L business? The architecture covers a wide range of capabilities to support global TFL business including loan lifecycle management, collateral management, and related integrations with Cash, Treasury, Risk, and Finance.

Senior Frontend Engineer (f/m/x)

As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will deliver and evolve TF&L Core Services (Deals Portal UI, Access Control, Authentication, and Backend‑for‑Frontend APIs) by designing and implementing reusable, scalable solutions across TF&L projects and contributing to end‑to‑end business product delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Join a business‑oriented delivery team and partner with engineers, QA, UX designers, and stakeholders to build the Deals Portal UI, covering the end‑to‑end lifecycle of deals in TF&L.
• Contribute to the Core UI Platform by improving the UI kit and design system used across the bank, focusing on reusable, well‑documented components and patterns.
• Own and continuously improve UI quality – performance, accessibility, visual consistency.
• Drive engineering best practices: testing, code reviews, and maintainable architecture.

Your Skills and Experience

• Several years of frontend engineering experience building production UIs with React (full‑stack experience is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of the web platform: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, DOM, and Browser APIs.
• Solid understanding of client–server communication: HTTP, WebSockets, and networking/connectivity considerations.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including understanding of performance and complexity trade‑offs.
