Senior Functional Safety Developer (m/f/d)

Your role

• Work on the development, design, and maintenance of safety‑critical software components for robotic systems Implement complex features, resolve critical defects, and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and development processes
• Deploy and validate software on safety‑sensitive robotic platforms and support integration and system testing
• Perform root cause analysis for system‑level failures and drive corrective and preventive actions
• Identify technical and safety risks early and drive mitigation strategies throughout the development lifecycle
• Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions
• Contribute to hazard analyses, safety assessments, and certification activities where applicable

Your experience and qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 5+ years of professional experience developing software in modern C++ • Experience developing safety‑critical software systems is a plus
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 10218, or similar) and code standards like MISRA
• Experience developing under Linux
• Experience with embedded platforms and/or real‑time systems is highly desirable
• Good English communication skills; German is a plus
