Meet Your Team: Advertising Dashboard Team (part of Demand Solutions)

The Demand Solutions department creates core technologies to help mobile publishers acquire the right users for their apps and games. Our software, developed entirely in-house, manages, provides, and analyzes ads for over 200 million daily mobile users. We build modern user interfaces and software, powering analytics with state-of-the-art databases like Druid, to deliver valuable insights to advertisers and account managers. Our team leverages machine learning models created by BI analysts and data scientists. We maintain flexibility and autonomy, working on adjoe’s Go backend that supplies data to our TypeScript React frontend.

As part of this team, the Advertising Dashboard team develops User & API interfaces for our internal business team and external advertisers to create, launch, analyze, and optimize advertising campaigns.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain our backend in Go, supporting our microservice architecture that communicates with our frontend (TypeScript React), using event buses like Kafka and SQS/SNS for reliable asynchronous communication.
• Collaborate with fellow developers through knowledge sharing and peer code reviews.
• Work with modern columnar databases such as Druid and optimize queries in MySQL for millisecond response times.
• Support partners by providing raw or aggregated data based on their needs, emphasizing data transparency and well-documented APIs.
• Manage billions of daily API events, aggregating them in Kafka and Kinesis streams for quick querying from our data lake.
• Be part of an international, English-speaking team dedicated to scaling our adtech platform beyond hundreds of millions of monthly active users.

Who You Are

• Have 8+ years of software development experience.
• Possess at least 5 years of experience building web applications in Go.
• Have worked with columnar databases like Druid, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or Vertica, and know how to analyze and optimize queries.
• Can profile Go applications to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.
• Have experience with large-scale Go applications handling over 100 million requests per day.
• Are open to relocating to Hamburg, Germany.
• Bonus: Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), Docker, and serverless architectures.
