Senior Intraday Algorithmic Power Trader

NordSearch is exclusively representing a leading Power Trading Firm operating across European Short-term Power markets. The company combines large-scale renewables (5 GW-scale portfolio) with a cutting edge algorithmic trading set up.

The role focuses on developing and running algorithmic trading strategies in the German, GB, Dutch and Eastern European Intraday markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end algo strategies for the imbalance to day-ahead markets predominantly in Germany
• Strong focus on delivering highly profitable prop trading strategies. Optimise the asset portfolio
• Improve and optimise existing trading models
• Work closely with quant and technology teams to deploy strategies

Requirements

• Strong experience in CWE power markets
• Strong proven track record in developing algorithmic trading strategies, PnL contribution
• Strong quantitative mindset and data-driven trading approach
• Ability to own and scale trading strategies

Location

• Occasional visits to HQ in Istanbul

Compensation

• €100k – €110k base salary plus performance-based bonus
