For our client, a leading company in the field of communication and information technologies, we are looking for a Senior IT Security Engineer SOC (m/f/d) for the location in Munich.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical and strategic development as well as sustainable design of the CDC application architecture, with a particular focus on continuous optimization, integration, and ensuring high security standards in IT security
• Conceptualization, creation, and continuous maintenance of technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), security standards, as well as architecture and process documentation
• Continuous improvement of the detection and response capabilities of the security platform by enhancing existing security processes, increasing automation, and the conceptual and technical further development of the deployed security toolchain
• Professional support and guidance of security analysts in operational operations, especially in real-time monitoring of security-relevant events, prioritization of security events, and targeted technical coaching
• Close, cross-location collaboration with international infrastructure and security teams, e.g., in malware defense, vulnerability management, and incident response

PROFILE

• Completed degree in computer science or a comparable education
• At least 4 years of experience in international cybersecurity
• Excellent knowledge in the use of SIEM/SOAR systems, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
• Experience in scripting (especially Python), log data analysis, and REST APIs
• Familiar with current cybersecurity frameworks and their application in detection and response processes
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux systems; initial experience with machine learning in IT security is a plus
• Experience in SOC/CDRC environment architecture, cloud security (AWS, Azure), and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker)
• Excellent English and good German skills
