Senior IT Systems Engineer M365 (f/d/m)

For our European Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main area (Offenbach) we are looking for a:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Engineer – Microsoft 365 & On-Premise System Operation and Support to strengthen the IT capabilities of our European subsidiaries. In this key role, you will be part of our Collaboration Technology Section, driving the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our Microsoft 365 ecosystem and on-premise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, on-prem AD/Exchange, and related core systems.
• Identify and mitigate security risks in collaboration with the Security Team.
• Automate tasks and reporting (primarily via PowerShell).
• Perform system patching, updates, and upgrades to maintain stability and security.
• Handle service requests and provide high-quality support across subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with Local IT, HR, Legal, and Security teams in each market.
• Support integration and IT service projects as needed.
• Maintain clear English documentation for systems, services, and policies.
• Ensure compliance with Security Guidelines and EU GDPR.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of professional experience in similar field.
• Identity management & integrations (AD, Azure AD/Entra, Workday, SAP, etc.)
• PKI infrastructure (CA, certificates)
• DNS infrastructure
• Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 (DAG, arrays, databases, hybrid setups)
• Anti-Spam systems
• PowerShell scripting
• Project management capabilities
• High sense of ownership and responsibility for operated systems and services
• Effective communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent English skills (written and spoken) required, second European language would be a plus (e.g., German, French, Spanish, Italian, etc.)
