Rates & Credit Dealer‑to‑Client eTrading (D2C)

The D2C platform provides liquidity on Bonds, Rates Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Repo and ETFs to Deutsche Bank’s Institutional Clients. It connects with 10+ leading multi‑dealer platforms, streamlining electronic and voice trading requests, routing liquidity to relevant trading desks, and automating execution logic.

About the role

As a Senior Java Engineer (f/m/x), you will play a key role in platform stability, execution efficiency and overall quality of our trading systems. You will take ownership of the end‑to‑end automation framework and proactively drive improvements.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Improve system automation framework, optimizing e2e tests execution time and release preparation time
• Take full ownership of the e2e framework and related infrastructure, make independent technical decisions
• Contribute to the stability and scalability of the end‑to‑end (e2e) testing framework
• Investigate and fix failing e2e test cases, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing stable long‑term solutions
• Identify recurring failure patterns, document typical issues and propose effective resolution
• Migrate e2e framework to new Windows agents, ensuring smooth transition and resolving dev‑ops gaps
• Design and implement an automation framework for stress testing to validate system robustness under load
• Migrate e2e framework to a cloud‑based environment

Your Skills & Experiences

• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment
• Strong knowledge of Java (collections, multi‑threading, networking) with many years of experience
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Basic knowledge of SQL relational database solutions and Linux
• Experience in designing and developing distributed, cloud‑ready applications and knowledge of messaging technologies (JMS, Solace, IBM MQ or similar) is a plus
