Senior Legal Counsel – IT & Technology Law (m/f/d)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Legal Counsel with an IT & Technology specialism to join our team. In this role, you will provide strategic legal advice across commercial and contractual matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting high-profile, cross-functional projects. You will be a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, balancing legal risk with commercial goals.

You will:

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts with vendors, suppliers, and other third-party partners, particularly in relation to our fully digital investment platform, IT content, and IT services.
• Provide input on regulatory questions and projects with regard to MiFID, DORA, WpHG, WpIG and KAGB.
• Provide legal advice on commercial and contractual issues across the Moonfare Group business, helping navigate complex legal and regulatory matters
• Support and improve contract processes from a regulatory perspective, ensuring timely and compliant delivery
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders within Moonfare Group to understand needs and build strong, trust-based partnerships
• Analyse current legal and contract management processes and develop automated solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work alongside Compliance, DPO, and IT Security on vendor onboarding and data protection matters
• Assist in resolving contract disputes and contribute to protecting the company’s brand and reputation
• Maintain and update template documentation, while monitoring and sharing developments in relevant areas of law

The next Moonfarian:

• Extensive post-qualification experience in commercial, contract, IT, cyber security and technology law
• Full written and spoken professional working proficiency in German & English
• Strong experience in contract drafting, negotiation, DORA and regulatory compliance
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams on complex, multi-jurisdictional projects
• Highly structured, able to navigate a fast-paced environment, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
