Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our Machine Learning Applications Team at Buynomics. In this role, you will develop and enhance our advanced end‑to‑end machine learning solutions that deliver deep insights into shopper behaviour for our clients. Collaborating closely with Data Scientists and Engineers, you will help design and implement flexible, efficient systems that drive business value across a variety of use cases. This position demands strong technical expertise, a pragmatic problem‑solving mindset, and a passion for turning complex data into actionable intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead working streams by driving decision making regarding technical designs and coordinating development efforts.
• Drive efficient and agile development of machine learning models.
• Facilitate timely delivery by resolving blockers and aligning short‑term and tactical decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional development teams to ensure seamless integration of machine learning solutions into core processes, with a focus on aligning with front‑end and UI requirements.
• Deliver high‑quality, reliable code and clear documentation to support collaboration and long‑term maintainability across teams.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to help grow our team of passionate machine learning engineers and modellers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building end‑to‑end machine learning solutions, ideally in a SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable, and production‑ready ML systems.
• Hands‑on experience with efficient, parallel ETL pipelines and cloud‑based data processing.
• Strong programming skills in Python and hands‑on experience with ML libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, and Pydantic.
• Ability to translate complex business problems—especially in RGM contexts—into effective technical solutions.
• Attention to detail and quality, with a strong inclination toward clarity and simplicity in solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with both Data Scientists and Engineers.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices and system architecture.
• Experience providing API services to deliver insights from trained ML models.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
