Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role:
- Lead the design of finance analytics solutions: act as the point of contact for finance‑related analytics requirements, collaborating with IT, Finance, Controlling, and Business Units to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop tailored analytics solutions
- Design the enterprise data model and domain structure, define and manage data products and consumption patterns, and enforce modeling standards, data quality, lineage, and documentation to make BDC the single trusted source
- Define the enterprise data and analytics strategy and multi‑year roadmap with SAP BDC and Databricks as the core
- Manage integration of SAP and non‑SAP data: define patterns for S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, etc., oversee robust/scalable pipelines with data engineering and SAP teams, and enable BDC–Databricks integrations for advanced analytics
- Enable BI, self‑service, and data science: ensure BI tools consume standardized BDC products; provide well‑documented, business‑friendly datasets; expose curated BDC data to Databricks and other analytics environments
- Enforce data governance and compliance: define ownership, stewardship, quality, and access policies; collaborate with security/risk/compliance on controls and regulations; continuously monitor and improve data quality and lineage in BDC
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- At least 6 years of experience in data & analytics platforms, including 3 years with SAP data (SAP BW/BDC/Datasphere/SAP Analytics Cloud); proven integration of S/4HANA or SuccessFactors into BDC is a plus
- Proven experience in cross‑functional leadership, with a strong ability to manage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across multiple functions and levels
- Data product management expertise, with a strong understanding of data governance principles, including data modeling, quality, lineage, and documentation, and experience in publishing and consuming data products across various platforms
- Strong understanding of Databricks and Lakehouse concepts, with knowledge of BDC–Databricks integration patterns, and proficiency in SQL, as well as basic programming skills in Python and/or Scala
- Proven track record of transforming analytics capabilities, including the development and implementation of modern analytics platforms, data warehouses, and data lakes. Strong understanding of BDC, BI, and Databricks, and ability to drive business value through data‑driven insights
- English fluency, German is a plus
