Senior Manager Financial Planning Analysis

Senior FP&A Manager – Freelance | SaaS / PE-backed | 6 Months

Start: ASAP Duration: 6 months Commitment: Full-time Day Rate: €700-800/day Location: Munich or Berlin

Hybrid - 3 days a week

We are looking for an experienced Senior FP&A Manager for a fast-growing, PE-backed SaaS company. This is a high-ownership, hands‑on role with excellent visibility, reporting to the Head of FP&A and working closely with the CFO. Ideal for someone who combines analytical depth with commercial thinking and a passion for process improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own monthly management reporting, variance analysis and performance insights
• Lead forecasting, reforecasting and budgeting processes
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to senior stakeholders
• Develop and improve financial models for planning and performance analysis
• Collaborate with Accounting, Revenue Operations and People teams to ensure data quality and consistency
• Contribute to the selection and implementation of a financial planning solution
• Support strategic projects and M&A initiatives including financial analysis and due diligence
• Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes and reporting quality

What We're Looking For

• 5–7 years of experience in FP&A, controlling or financial planning
• Knowledge of financial planning tools highly advantageous
• Big 4 experience at Manager level and/or in‑house FP&A in a dynamic environment
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and key business drivers
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
• Experience in a PE‑led or PE portfolio company is a strong advantage
• Comfortable with BI tools and financial planning systems (LucaNet ideally)
• Chartered Accountancy qualification (WP/ACA) is a plus
• Fluent English required; German is a plus but not essential
