Senior Manager - People Strategy and Planning

Stellenbeschreibung:

About the opportunity

Hi, I’m Dan, the Chief People Officer at N26, and I am looking for a Senior Manager of People Strategy & Planning to join the People Team here at N26.

Why is this role exciting and why you should apply?

  • You will have a direct role in shaping N26 for 1,600 N26ers across Europe.
  • You will be a key part of our People Leadership Team, using data and insights to develop and communicate our People Strategy.
  • You’ll build and run the rituals that keep us delivering compliant people products.
  • You will work directly with me on cross-functional projects.

This is a high-impact “consultant-style” role designed for a visionary leader who aspires to be a future Chief of Staff or Chief People Officer. If this sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you.

In this role, you will:

  • Build on our High Performing Culture strategy

Develop an annual people roadmap that delivers the goals of this strategy.

  • Design the right rituals

Keep team delivery on track; taking into account the diversity of our People Team and that not everyone loves a project tracker!

  • Support me in key meetings

Preparing for our Board committees, ensuring I have good quality information to hand and sometimes stepping in to cover for me.

  • Work with Internal Communications

Communicate our initiatives and strategy really well. Sometimes we can make things complex, you will bring simplicity and clarity.

  • Support cross‑functional projects

Maybe I need a sparring partner on org design or challenging on how I see the team performance, you’ll always have my ear and I will ask for your opinion.

  • Ensure other teams can support our initiatives

For example the technology team who run our Workday platform.

  • Manage budget and cost control

Directly help me to manage a significant budget across compensation and opex.

There will be a lot more too, this is a role that will require a lot of flexibility.

What you need to be successful

Background:

  • You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working with senior stakeholders, quite likely in a consultancy background.
  • You’ve studied in areas like Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, Economics, Finance or Strategy.
  • Have a desire to work as a Chief of staff or Chief People Officer.

Skills:

  • You are a strategic, forward‑thinking leader who anticipates market shifts and confidently drives change.
  • You inspire high performance by coaching and empowering teams to grow through transformation.
  • You operate with structure and discipline, holding yourself and others to high standards of quality and pace.
  • You build scalable, efficient processes and ensure execution with precision and speed.
  • You lead with emotional intelligence, building trust across all levels of the organization.
  • You effectively influence senior stakeholders, collaborate with works councils, and foster a culture of open, constructive feedback.
  • You are self‑aware, adaptable, and resilient - quick to learn from experience, open to feedback, and ready to pivot strategies to succeed in a fast‑changing environment.
