Responsibilities

• Develop and implement material selection strategies for various oil and gas projects
• Conduct corrosion risk assessments and develop corrosion control plans
• Provide technical expertise in the selection of materials for pipelines, equipment, and structures
• Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations related to material and corrosion issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project teams
• Participate in project reviews, audits, and inspections to ensure the integrity of assets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in materials and corrosion engineering within the oil and gas industry
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
• Knowledge of material selection, coating/painting, corrosion management and control, insulation systems and techniques, and welding and other joining technologies
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes related to materials and corrosion
• Experience with corrosion monitoring techniques, cathodic protection, and chemical treatments
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
