We are a young, dynamic team of engineers who specialise in the development of mechanical subsystems for space applications. Our solutions regularly fly to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars or chase comets.

We are currently looking for a

Senior Mechanical Project Lead Space (f/m/d)

Scope: full time

Your tasks and accountabilities:

• Leadership for mechanical hardware projects for space applications from proposal to delivery
• Good background of the technical aspects during development, manufacturing and verification
• Continuous project planning and associated resource allocation
• Continuous cost tracking
• Responsible to fulfil all deliverables, on time and budget
• Communication and reporting with customers and suppliers
• Support negotiation of contract changes

depending on previous experience this position is in the range of 60-75k€/year gross salary

Your profile:

• Demonstrated history in mechanical projects in the space industry. 3+ years experience post-graduation.
• Post-graduation experience in at least one of the domains: CAD design, FEA simulation or thermal engineering for space applications. AIT experience is a plus
• Experience with mechanical hardware manufacturing in at least one of the domains: CNC machining, sandwich panels, filament winding or prepreg technology
• Experience with MS office including MS project
• Experience with ECSS standards
• Fluency in spoken and written English (C1)
