Senior Platform Engineer (BigQuery & AI+Data Infrastructure)

Summary

Predict42 is evolving from a startup into an Enterprise Scale-Up. Our core product, MIGO, serves as the primary feedback engine for global enterprise organizations. We are currently restructuring into autonomous product teams, and we are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the "Platform" team’s most critical mission: Migrating 100% of our Data Warehouse operations to BigQuery.

In this role, you will be the architect behind our data&AI foundation. Success means ensuring that as we scale massivley, our performance remains lightning-fast, our data integrity remains inviolable, and our infrastructure stays cost-optimized.

You will report directly to the CTO and Founder, playing a pivotal role in shaping our AI-first future.

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Migration: Lead the migration of 100% of DWH operations to BigQuery, establishing a dual-engine strategy that utilizes BigQuery for deep analytics and ClickHouse for real-time performance.
• Declarative Engineering: Own the transition to Dataform, treating data transformations with a software engineering mindset (version-controlled, tested, and declarative).
• AI Infrastructure: Build and maintain high-performance pipelines that feed our AI-First engine, ensuring LLMs have access to precise, validated data in milliseconds.
• Data Validation: Implement proactive, automated data validation frameworks to ensure data integrity is a foundational constant of the platform.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate the entire lifecycle of our GCP-based environment to ensure stability, security, and rapid deployment capabilities.
• Technical Excellence: Participate in our "20% Tech-Debt Rule," dedicating one day per week to architectural cleanup, refactoring, and long-term system health.

Qualifications

• BigQuery Expertise: Deep, hands‑on experience with Google BigQuery, including native procedures, cost optimization, and performance tuning at scale.
• Software Engineering Mindset: Strong proficiency in declarative data tools such as Dataform or dbt. You believe that data pipelines should be versioned, documented, and tested like production code.
• Data Integrity Focus: A proven track record of building proactive data quality and validation layers into complex, large-scale systems.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Professional experience managing and automating environments within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Pragmatic Approach: The ability to balance sophisticated architectural design with the need to ship tangible value in a fast-paced scale‑up environment.
• Communication & Location: Excellent professional communication skills. This role is based in Mainz , and we value in‑person collaboration with our high-caliber team in the Rhein‑Main region.
