You will act as a key interface between internal disciplines, external partners, and specialist departments—ensuring seamless coordination, technical quality, and forward-looking planning.Your responsibilities will include:Leading complex plant engineering projects, including concept development and feasibility studiesDriving process planning in accordance with state-of-the-art technologiesWorking closely with internal technology teams on core proprietary technologiesPreparing, reviewing, and validating process engineering documentationDefining trade-specific requirements and ensuring clear communication within the project teamCoordinating and managing external engineering partners and internal project contributorsReviewing technical documentation from internal and external stakeholdersEnsuring quality and performance of engineering deliverablesContributing to process safety discussions and developing standards for safety-critical topicsPreparing technical documentation for construction and operating permitsSupporting project management in planning, controlling, and risk evaluationProviding on-site support during plant commissioning at client or company locationsWhat You BringA relevant technical degree (Master’s/Diploma), ideally in chemical or process engineering10–15 years of professional experience in chemical plant engineering or the chemical industryProven experience in conceptual planning and in leading external partnersBusiness-fluent German skills (general, business, and technical terminology)Strong English communication skillsSolid economic understanding and a pragmatic, project-oriented mindsetProficiency with P&ID and calculation tools (ideally AutoCAD Plant 3D and Aspen+)Profound knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., Pressure Equipment Directive, Machinery Directive)Willingness to travel occasionally for project needsResidence in Germany and willingness to be on-site in Erlangen at least once per weekWhy Apply?This is an opportunity to contribute to high-impact engineering projects within a forward-thinking, innovation-driven environment.
