Senior Python Developer / Technical Lead – Cloud Architecture & Microservices

Senior Python Developer (Contract) – Energy & Infrastructure (m/f/x) We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer (Contractor) to support a key project in the energy and infrastructure sector. The role focuses on strengthening the Infrastructure Cloud Engine (ICE) platform, which enables the provisioning of virtual infrastructure resources.This is not a “heads‑down coding only” role. We’re seeking someone who can combine hands‑on engineering with technical leadership: shaping architecture, guiding peers, and ensuring delivery quality. What you’ll doBuild production‑grade Python services and APIs (FastAPI)Apply asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp) and concurrency modelsDesign modular, maintainable software componentsWork with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB)Ensure quality through testing (pytest, unittest) and documentationCollaborate with stakeholders across infrastructure domains (network, compute, storage, hardware)Provide technical leadership and mentor peersPromote agile ways of working and continuous improvement What we’re looking for8+ years of professional software development experienceAdvanced Python (3.9+) skills, including async and multiprocessingStrong experience with FastAPI for scalable APIsSolid database knowledge (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB; SQLAlchemy)Deep understanding of microservices (REST/gRPC, messaging, service boundaries)Knowledge of application & API security (OAuth2, OIDC)Fluent English (C1 or higher) Leadership & CollaborationMake and communicate technical decisions within architectural boundariesFacilitate meetings and present technical concepts in clear, simple termsProvide guidance to peers and ensure timely delivery of features and componentsWork setup: this role is 100% remote, with onsite presence required only once per quarter for alignment workshops and team connection Nice to haveExperience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)Database integration for microservices (schema design, performance tuning) Why join as a contractorThis role gives you the chance to work on a core infrastructure platform with real impact in the energy and infrastructure sector.
