Research Domain

Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for macro and microanalysis within Deutsche Bank Group and acts as consultant for the bank, its clients and stakeholders. We analyze relevant trends for the bank in financial markets, the economy and society and highlight risks and opportunities.

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive QA Automation Engineer (f/m/x) with strong expertise in SQL and solid programming skills in Java and/or Python . You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of applications by designing and executing automated and manual test suites, analyzing results, and collaborating closely with development and product teams.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements, define test strategy, and ensure full test coverage across complex systems and data flows.
• Develop, maintain, and improve test automation frameworks (Java and Python-based) and manage required test data.
• Lead functional, integration, regression, E2E, performance, and load testing activities.
• Define and manage test data strategy; use SQL to validate backend data and investigate complex defects.
• Contribute to and maintain test automation frameworks (Java and Python-based).
• Collaborate with developers, business users, and QA team members to ensure high-quality releases and continuously improve QA processes within Agile environment.

Your Skills And Experiences

• Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including complex queries and relational data analysis.
• Solid programming skills in Java and/or Python, with practical experience in test automation.
• Knowledge of test design frameworks and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, PyTest).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Confident spoken and written English (B2+ or higher).
• Nice to have:
• Experience with API automation (REST Assured, requests)
• Experience with CI/CD integration
• Practical experience with load testing tools
