Senior Research Engineer - AI for 6G

Stellenbeschreibung:

Contribute to internal strategic R&D roadmap in 6G research, identifying key technology trends (especially related to AI) relevant to future 6G systems
Evaluate the resource footprint of AI services (inference, training), focusing on Large Language Models (LLMs), Transformers, and Generative AI (GenAI), and propose novel efficiency methods suitable for wireless/network application
Explore and propose resource‑aware deployment and operational techniques for sustainable AI services in 6G systems
Contribute to cooperative research, e.g. research project proposal writing, cooperation project management, technical content contribution, etc.
Responsibility to supervise master and PhD students

PhD or equivalent in a related subject area, e.g. telecommunications, computer science, or a related field
Strong background in AI‑relevant topics, such as deep learning, vision models, LLMs, Transformers, and GenAI
Extensive hands‑on experience in model training and inferencing tasks
Experience with and knowledge of distributed learning techniques such as Federated Learning
Experience with and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
Excellent knowledge of both spoken and written English
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
