Airbus Defence and Space GmbH – Location: Oberhaching, Bavaria, Germany (close to Munich). Employment Type: Permanent, Professional Level: Mid‑Senior, Full‑time , Job Family: Sales, Marketing & Commercial Contracts.

Position Overview

The Senior Sales/Campaign Manager plays a key role in achieving growth goals for Space Digital Mission Solutions in the satellite and secure communications sectors, supporting aircraft, maritime, and ground applications.

Responsibilities

  • Build a reliable network and trustful relationships within the customer organization and industry.
  • Identify new business opportunities and close deals, especially regarding the Bundeswehr special asset.
  • Deep understanding of the SD portfolio and related strategy.
  • Own order intake and drive acquisition process according to the business plan, integrating stakeholders such as finance, compliance, program, and offer management.
  • Lead complex sales campaigns, coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to bid creation, including drafting management summaries and participating in red‑team reviews.
  • Negotiate contracts and support the negotiation process.
  • Identify industry partnerships and initiate discussions with internal stakeholders.
  • Create acquisition plans and sales strategies.
  • Support marketing activities, attend client events and trade shows.
  • Travel to meet customers regularly (approx. 30‑40% of work time).

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of sales experience in a military environment, proven track record with complex defense projects.
  • Experience leading multifaceted tenders at national and European levels.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into actionable solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of internal sales processes, award and procurement management, commercial aspects, pricing and budgeting.
  • Flexible work style and adaptability to fast‑changing environments.
  • Creativity and out‑of‑the‑box thinking.
  • Team player with experience working in international, cross‑functional teams.
  • Native German, fluent English; additional languages (Spanish or French) a plus.
  • Preferably holder of a sales certification such as Shipley.
  • Experience in public relations, marketing, and communications (lobbying, event planning).
  • Degree in business, economics, or engineering.

Additional Requirements

Security clearance is required or the authorization for such clearance must be available. Classification: BVA/GG13.
