Senior ServiceNow Architect

Purpose of the Role

As a ServiceNow Architect, you are responsible for developing and continuously improving tailored, platform-standard solutions that meet the growing information needs of ZEISS business units while minimizing technical debt.

You act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, collaborating closely with process owners and Product Owners to ensure solutions align with functional requirements, compliance standards, and governance requirements. You are a central member of the DevOps product team, working across teams and products to optimize processes, platform utilization, and solution delivery.

The Key Responsibilities for This Position Include:

• Ensure the development and enhancement of tailored, platform-standard ServiceNow solutions in collaboration with process owners and Product Owners.
• Advise and support ZEISS internal business units, including gathering, analyzing, and structuring requirements.
• Own holistic solution design, ensuring alignment of functional requirements with compliance, governance, and platform standards.
• Ensure security, quality, and stability of the managed products and solutions throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely across teams and products with other ServiceNow product teams and relevant stakeholders.
• Actively contribute as a core member of the DevOps product team to continuously optimize processes, platform usage, and delivery.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven professional experience and demonstrated success as a ServiceNow Solution Architect / Business Analyst across relevant ServiceNow products, including ITOM, EAM, ITAM, and SAM modules.
• Deep experience managing ServiceNow implementation projects and integrating external systems using various integration technologies.
• Experience working in agile environments and executing agile or hybrid projects, combined with strong team collaboration and results orientation.
• Strong knowledge as a ServiceNow Developer or Full Stack Developer is an advantage.
• ITIL Foundation certification and project management certification are preferred.
