As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll partner with scientists to build the infrastructure behind our client engagements. We’re looking for an expert in AI-assisted development to deliver complex, production-grade software with speed and precision.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Drive software engineering best practices. Make infrastructure decisions, plan architectures, and guide the team through complicated technical problems.

Lead agentic software engineering efforts: Drive tooling and automation for achieving high-quality software engineering with agentic development over vibe coding. Stay up to date on current developments and develop our own AI processes and best practices.

Build an agile engineering culture: We're looking for an experienced engineer who wants to help build an excellent interdisciplinary environment for research and engineering. Take responsibility for agile processes like Scrum and help to improve them.

Active collaboration on projects: Work closely with bioinformatics consultants to translate domain-specific needs into functional technical solutions.

Your must have qualifications:

Master degree in computer science, natural sciences, engineering or similar.

5+ years of professional experience as software engineer.

Experience in using and developing agentic AI tools for software engineering.

Experience in software engineering in data-heavy applications.

Demonstrated ability to engineer large projects with increasing complexity and patterns.

Experience in testing, validating, and implementing continuous integration and delivery.

Strong command of Python for both data processing (e.g., Polars or pandas) and web frameworks (e.g., Django or Flask).

Solid understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript and frontend frameworks like React.

Practical experience with AWS or GCP, including containerization (Docker).

Experience in agile development frameworks like Scrum, ideally in the role of Scrum Master.

English Native speaker, C2 Level

Your beneficial experience:

Experience handling and structuring scientific data or integrating AI/ML models into software environments.

Experience with building algorithms for data processing, utilizing low-level languages like C, C++, or Rust.
