Senior Solution Architect

Overview

Alibaba Cloud is seeking an experienced Senior Architect with expertise in cloud computing, AI/ML, and automotive/industrial solutions to lead cutting-edge projects for enterprise customers across Europe, with a focus on the German-speaking region. Based in Germany, you will design scalable, compliant cloud architectures while driving Alibaba Cloud’s AI and industry-specific solutions in key sectors like autonomous driving, Industrial 4.0, fintech, and more. As a technical leader, you will bridge global innovation with market needs, ensuring solutions align with EU regulations (e.g., GDPR, 5G-GA) and industry standards. Responsibilities

Technical Leadership: Design large-scale, compliant cloud infrastructures (e.g., hybrid/multi-cloud, edge computing) for AI workloads (LLMs, computer vision, MLOps). Solve complex challenges in distributed systems, real-time data processing, and low-latency inference for mission-critical applications. Architect AI/ML-powered cloud solutions for industrial and automotive clients (e.g., predictive maintenance, digital twins, autonomous driving data platforms). Industry-Specific Solutions: Automotive/Autonomous Driving — Design V2X communication platforms, autonomous driving data lakes (sensor fusion, simulation/testing), and compliance frameworks. Industrial 4.0 — Develop cloud-native architectures for smart factories (OPC UA, MQTT, ROS/ROS2 integration) and IIoT (time-series databases, edge AI). Lead technical pre-sales (POCs, RFPs) for European enterprises, translating business needs into scalable architectures. Collaborate with partners (OEMs, ISVs, universities) to expand Alibaba Cloud’s AI/cloud ecosystem in Europe. Global Alignment: Coordinate with China/EMEA teams to adapt global product roadmaps for European regulations (e.g., data sovereignty). Qualifications

Mandatory: 10+ years in cloud architecture (Alibaba Cloud/AWS/Azure) and AI/ML (TensorFlow/PyTorch, LLMs, MLOps). 3+ years as a lead architect for multinational clients (Europe experience preferred). Expertise in two or more: Fluency in English and German (business/technical); Chinese is a plus.

Preferred: Automotive/Autonomous Driving: Experience with autonomous driving stacks (perception, simulation, middleware like Cyber RT/Autoware). Familiarity with automotive standards. Hands-on with PLM/SCADA systems, predictive maintenance, or digital twins. Knowledge of IEC 62443, Gaia-X, or factory data compliance.
