Senior Specialist Import / Export & Trade Compliance (m/f/d)

To help us build the foundation of our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate:

As part of the logistics and supply chain team, you will support the setup of import and export operations for a new semiconductor manufacturing facility in Dresden. In this role, you will work in an international environment and contribute to building the logistics and global trade processes of a fast‑growing high‑tech organization.

The position combines hands‑on operational work with the opportunity to shape and improve logistics and trade compliance structures during the ramp‑up phase of the site.

This role is designed for professionals with experience in customs, import/export or trade compliance in an industrial environment.

As part of the onboarding process, this role includes international training with global teams, including training in Taiwan and USA.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage international inbound and outbound shipments in collaboration with logistics service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with customs and foreign trade regulations, including tariff classification, documentation and customs clearance processes.
• Support export control and trade compliance activities such as sanction list screening, embargo checks and export license related processes.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of import/export procedures and logistics workflows as part of a greenfield manufacturing project.
• Monitor logistics service providers and ensure operational performance and compliance with defined KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal departments, international suppliers, logistics partners and relevant authorities.
• Support the alignment of local logistics workflows with global processes and systems.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in logistics and global trade processes.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in international logistics, customs or trade compliance, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of import/export processes and customs regulations.
• Experience with topics such as tariff classification, export control, sanction list screening or customs compliance is highly desirable.
• Experience working with SAP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA) is considered an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic project environment and contribute to building new processes and structures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with international teams and external partners.
• Fluent German and good English skills.
• Willingness to participate in an international onboarding program including 4-6 weeks of training in Taiwan and Arizona (USA).
• Mandarin language skills are considered a plus but are not required.
