(Senior) Strategic Marketing Manager (m/f/d)

We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced (Senior) Strategic Marketing Manager (m/f/d) to join our team. The preferred location for this position is Munich , where our European headquarter is based. However, the role can also be performed remotely within Germany, or from France, Spain, or the UK .

You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and translating insights from market research, competitive intelligence, and customer segmentation into actionable strategies. By leveraging these insights, you will drive data‑driven outcomes and support Moxa’s corporate strategy by translating industrial market research and competitive intelligence into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Market Understanding & Strategic Positioning

  • Collaborate on corporate‑level strategy development based on market insights to identify market focus and customer segments
  • Support vertical markets by facilitating collection of local insights and collaborating with the corporate team developing customer personas
  • Align market insights with product management roadmaps
  • Support collection of insights for cybersecurity regulations and compliance (IEC 62443, CRA, NERC CIP, ISA/IEC)
  • Act as strategic interface to sales, product, and R&D leadership
  • Develop and lead cross‑functional activities with colleagues across departments

European Market Intelligence

  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze market information from across Europe (regions, key industries, customer segments) and identify similarities with other regions to support product management
  • Support strategic planning with data‑driven recommendations
  • Understand and monitor European legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements (e.g. industry standards, cybersecurity regulations, certifications)
  • Serve as a knowledge hub for European compliance topics in a marketing and market context

Inbound Marketing Strategy

  • Define and steer the inbound marketing strategy based on market and industry insights
  • Ensure content topics are driven by real customer challenges, regulatory pressure, and industry trends

Cross‑Functional & International Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
    • European sales teams to gather market feedback
    • Product Management and R&D to reflect market and regulatory needs
    • Global Marketing and HQ to align European insights with global strategy
  • Support internal enablement by sharing market and industry knowledge across teams

Requirements

Professional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field and / or minimum of 8 years in industrial B2B strategic or product marketing
  • Experience in industrial automation, networking, and / or cybersecurity preferred
  • Ability to influence across functions without authority
  • Proven ability to connect market insights, regulatory frameworks, and product positioning
  • Experience working in an international, matrix‑driven organization

Skills & Mindset

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in synthesizing insights from multiple regions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization, project management and implementation skills
  • Must have tolerance for ambiguity and ability to proactively solve problem solve
  • Goal‑oriented and organized team player
  • Strategic thinker with a strong market‑first mindset
  • Ability to translate complex market, technical, and regulatory information into clear messages and guidance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
