Senior Systems Administration Support (Windows OS)

The Senior Systems Administration Support (Windows OS) is responsible for the administration and operational support for servers, workstations and applications in a Windows Active Directory environment. The candidate must be able to coordinate, troubleshoot and oversee system backups, hardware installation, software installation, and system upgrades. The position will require individuals to solve complex technology problems, providing solutions and mentorship to internal and external customers that will have a positive impact on the day-to-day efficiencies. Maintain exceptional conduct, discipline, and communicate effectively with a diverse work force to perform assigned tasks.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains all aspects of server administration to include, but is not limited to, Active Directory OU, objects (Users, Computers, MAB), security groups, Windows File Server, Network Policy Server (NPS), DHCP, Print Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), Application Servers and Microsoft Exchange.
• Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft servers on NIPR, SIPR, and other supported enclaves.
• Management of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Utilize virtualization software to conduct snapshots and monitor system availability.
• Perform regular maintenance, installing IAVA approved patches to enforce server security and maintain system availability.
• Maintains system hardening by following DISA STIGs.
• Utilize approved ticketing system to document troubleshooting steps prior to completing and/or escalating to the next level of support.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, including performing system capacity analysis and planning.

• May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends.

Physical Activities

• Must be able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs. unassisted.

Qualifications

Required Education / Certifications:

• Candidates must possess one of the following:
• Education:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Business Administration or Mathematics plus five (5) years of specialized experience; OR
• An Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience; OR
• A major certification plus seven (7) years of specialized experience; OR
• 11 years of specialized experience.
• OR, one of the following Certifications:
• SecurityX / CASP+
• Cisco Certified Network Professional - Security (CCNP Security)
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
• Federal IT Security Professional - Operator (FITSP-O)
• GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT)

Additionally, candidates must also possess at least one of the following certifications:

• Microsoft 365 Certified (Administrator Expert or Security Operations Analyst Associate)
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator

Required Experience

• The following experience may be concurrent:
• Four (4) years of experience using and maintaining Microsoft Server Based OS experience.
• Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Server Based Products, such as MSSQL, HYPER-V, Live Communications
• Two (2) years direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems.
• DCWF Proficiency Level: Advanced - IT (Systems Administrator) (451).

Clearance Requirement

• This position requires an active Secret SSBI (Tier 5 Investigation) Security Clearance.
