Role Description

This is a full‑time, hybrid position for a Senior Underwriter in Construction & Engineering, located in Frankfurt am Main. The role involves underwriting complex construction and engineering insurance risks, analyzing submissions to ensure profitability, and developing tailored insurance solutions to meet client needs. The Senior Underwriter will also maintain and develop client relationships, work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and provide expertise to support business growth. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior team members and contributing to the long‑term success of the team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in underwriting complex construction and engineering risks, with a strong understanding of global insurance markets.
• Experience in client relationship management, including building trust and delivering tailored insurance solutions.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and decision‑making skills to evaluate submissions for profitability and alignment with business strategy.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, brokers, and internal teams.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members and support their development.
• Professional qualifications or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German or other languages is an advantage.
• Willingness to work in an on‑site role in Frankfurt Rhine‑Main Metropolitan Area and occasional travel as required.
