A leading main contractor is seeking a skilled Setting Out Engineer to join the delivery team on a high-profile data centre project in Germany. The role focuses on enabling works and groundworks, including bulk excavation, drainage, foundations, and utilities. This is a key position on a fast-paced, technically demanding build with long-term potential across Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Set out all groundworks and enabling works in line with design drawings and specifications
• Use GPS and total station equipment (Leica/Trimble) to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical queries
• Maintain accurate site records, as-builts, and survey logs
• Support temporary works coordination and quality inspections
• Ensure health & safety standards are upheld during setting out activities

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in setting out for civils or groundworks
• Strong knowledge of GPS, total station, AutoCAD, and site surveying techniques
• Experience on data centres, industrial, or infrastructure projects required
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage site documentation
• CSCS/SMSTS and relevant engineering qualifications
• EU passport or right to work in Germany
