Site Engineer - Data Centre

An international construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a large project in Berlin. Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Manager & Design Manager
• Review all design drawings and raise RFIs to the Project Manager for Design Team review
• Review all civils drawings prior to delivery to ensure site preparation works are complete
• Carry out call‑off schedules in line with project phases
• Be responsible for setting out across civils, RC substructure, precast concrete superstructure, hard landscaping, security fencing, gates, and turnstiles
• Set out temporary works as required
• Produce surveys of existing structures and as‑built records
• Check technical designs and drawings to ensure correct implementation and latest revisions are used
• Conduct quality checks of works, producing QA sheets with photographic evidence
• Perform QA checking, recording, and reporting
• Participate in daily briefings (DABS) with managers and supervisors
• Ensure all QA records are completed and maintained for all work packages
• Assist with the population and maintenance of the Project Production Control (PPC)
• Monitor ongoing works to ensure quality is maintained at all stages
• Produce and establish benchmarks
• Attend and contribute to weekly QA meetings with the Coffey team
• Ensure quality through visual inspections and integrity testing
• Assist in the preparation of RAMS and briefing documents
• Support the Temporary Works Coordinator

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline
• Proven experience in a Site Engineer / Setting Out role on construction projects
• Strong knowledge of setting out processes, surveying equipment, and construction methods
• Experience in QA processes, inspections, and as‑built documentation
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and site teams
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
