Site Reliability Engineer - Observability

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Observability group inside our Platform Engineering domain.

Platform Engineering’s goal is to provide easy-to-use, self-service platforms to enable other segments to build, deploy, and monitor their business applications. Observability’s role is to provide our users with end-to-end observability that’s easy to use.

As one of the first banks completely hosted in the cloud, our security, resilience, and productivity standards require a motivated and well-balanced team. We use a modern technology stack to match our principles when providing the framework for our development team, the company, and our customers.

In This Role, You Will

Build the tools for monitoring and measuring infrastructure, microservices, and sometimes unique workloads. Put developer experience at the forefront of implementations, contributing to understanding and preventing incidents through tooling, automation, and people-centered processes. Use automation to speed up repetitive tasks and contribute to security and compliance of the tech stack you run and support.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Well-versed in the basics of observability: metrics, logs, and traces.
• Familiar with tools for extracting, transforming, and loading data (e.g., Prometheus, StatsD, OpenTelemetry libraries, Vector, Beats, FluentBit, OpenSearch, Grafana, Datadog).
• Experience with at least one glue language like Go or Python.
• Comfortable operating in a Linux environment.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Strong desire to learn and improve, and passion for working with bleeding-edge technologies.
