Software Architect – FinTech - Java, Cloud-Native, Microservices - €120,000

A leading financial services organisation in Germany is continuing to scale its technology landscape and is strengthening its IT Architecture function.

They’re looking for an experienced Software Architect to play a key role in shaping modern, cloud-native systems and guiding development teams through complex solution design challenges.

This is a role for someone who enjoys owning architectural decisions , working closely with both engineering teams and business stakeholders, and actively influencing how software is built.

What will you be responsible for?

• Designing and evolving software and solution architectures aligned with business requirements
• Driving the transition towards a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture
• Evaluating new technologies and deciding how they fit into the existing system landscape
• Ensuring security, quality, and scalability are embedded into all solutions

This is a hands-on architecture role - close to development, not removed from it.

What are they looking for?

• Several years’ experience as a Software Architect, Solution Architect, or senior-level engineer with architectural responsibility
• Strong background in software development (Java-based environments preferred)
• Experience designing cloud-native applications and microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of security, scalability, and modern software design principles
