Software Developer - Firmware Development, Cryptography & Infrastructure (f/m/x)

Introduction High availability, reliability, and integrity are key attributes of our IBM Z server family for which we develop key firmware components in our IBM location in Ehningen, preparing and enabling their use for modern and advanced applications. Our team is responsible for the firmware implementing cryptographic functions and the related infrastructure firmware. We are, for example, involved in matters of digit asset protection, standardization, and quantum computer safe encryption. As powerful encryption becomes more relevant and with more customers using it, we are looking to extend our team to address this need and to develop and to deliver highest quality cryptographic firmware. Your Role And Responsibilities Design of components implementing cryptographic function with consideration of the underlying hardware and related constraints.Implementation firmware components using C/C++ and Rust.Analysis of functional and non-functional requirements and the related verification in a later phase.Deployment of new firmware code modules in simulated environments and on test systems.Scripting and automation of development related tasks.Refactoring, re-work, re-write of existing code modules.
