We assist energy providers and grid operators in tackling the challenges posed by digitalization in the energy sector and the integration of renewable energy sources. Our products PowerFactory , StationWare , and Monitoring Systems are utilized worldwide in over 170 countries.

Your Tasks:

• Take an active role in the development of the network protection calculation module within PowerFactory
• Focus on the enhancement and maintenance of algorithms for power system protection, as well as the modeling of protection devices
• Develop and implement protection device models, considering both steady‑state analysis methods (load flow, short‑circuit calculations) and dynamic simulations
• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, including research, design, specification, implementation, testing, and maintenance
• Support application engineers in customer projects and technical consultations

Your Profile:

• Successfully completed university degree (Master’s, Diploma, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering
• In-depth knowledge of the modeling and operation of protection devices and power system protection applications, including overcurrent protection, differential protection, and distance protection
• Solid understanding of modeling common power system components such as lines, transformers, generators, and loads
• Hands‑on experience with an object‑oriented programming language (e.g., C++, Java, or C#)
• Good command of written and spoken English. A good command of German is an advantage.
• Strong team and communication skills, combined with a high level of commitment and resilience
• Enthusiasm for deepening your expert knowledge and exploring new technical domains
