Antech Systems is seeking an experienced software developer to join our performance solutions team. In this position, you will create or evolve dynamic interfaces and business logic integrated workflows to support a Fleet focused website/application under NAWCAD WOLF ASI, with an emphasis on a Joint program user collaboration portal and software toolkit. Projects and interdisciplinary teamwork will support mission information systems delivered over containerization and web deployments for a range of sustainment, safety, and analytic parts of the larger Fleet and Systems Sustainment workflows. This position is open to developers in all US locations with a preference for technically qualified candidates located within 100 driving miles of Webster Field in St. Inigoes MD or Lexington Park, MD and able to regularly support up to 3-day trips per month to one or more of these locations.

Applicants must have a senior level combination of education and experience demonstrated with one of the following combinations: A bachelor's degree in computer science, math, engineering, science, media development, or information/data discipline with at least 8 years' experience. OR an Associates in a relevant field as described earlier with at least 10 years' experience. OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 14 years' experience. A relevant professional certification (Security+, SAFe Agile Software Engineer/SAFe for Architect, MCSD, JavaScript Developer Certification, Container technologies/development, etc.) may be substituted for 1 year of experience. More targeted certification in HTML5, XML, CSS3, JavaScript, mobile application development, or MCSA will be assessed as a benefit but will not substitute for required experience/education. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and able to qualify for a Security Clearance. Active Security Clearance is a plus. Position may require travel up to 10% of the time mostly within less than 300 miles of NAS Pax River. Selected candidate will be required to obtain Security+ or a higher level cybersecurity certification within 4 months of start.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will bring an established record of success in full stack development. This includes developing some combination of reusable/scalable components, modules, libraries, or microservices, automation of workflows and business process, data transformation, and/or XML to HTML5 dynamic manipulation. Optimally experience will include direct development of elements spanning or elements for multiple layers of traditional Cloud/Web “stack”.

• Proficiency in problem-solving through established solutions/patterns/libraries, evolution of available materials, newly created components/services, or a combination of the aforementioned in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated ability to decompose high level requirements, use cases, and user stories into developmental tasks working with Analysts, Developers, and Designers.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with all types of stakeholders from non-technical customer and end-user representatives to functional experts of all types in manners that show leadership, move the project(s) forward, and encourage collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking and atomic design patterns when translating design, objectives, and requirements from high level user stories and evolutionary rapid prototyping.
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks and features for a project's efforts in parallel either with some or no shared features/codebase.
• Proficiency in creating and improving loose coupling and scalability in your development elements with strong implementation of clean boundaries and understandable code.
• Demonstrated ability to re-purpose and modify existing codebase or integrate new code in a non-disruptive way while maintaining configuration management.
• Demonstrated ability to create sharable or re-purposing and modifying existing codebase in a non-disruptive way while maintaining configuration management through APIs, containers, software components, templates and code libraries.
• Strong skills in debugging and troubleshooting applications to facilitate fixes and improvements.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills including excellent ability to apply self-motivation and ownership on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Ability to work with a geographically distributed team of integrated analysts, SMEs, developers, and systems architects.
• Ability to communicate technical issues and implementations to non-technical users for both troubleshooting and product enhancements.
• Experience and strong desire to participate in the full project life cycle from concept to delivery. This includes requirements gathering, developing project plans, architecting solutions and testing.
• Experience leading and mentoring developers and software development focused blended teams.

Salary Range

$115, 000 - $145,000. Antech applies several factors to determine each individual's appropriate salary component in their compensation package, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific elements and broader organizational requirements. The range displayed represents the overall expected salary range for this position and is just one component of Antech's total compensation package for employees.
