Software Engineer – Financial Systems (Loans & Transactions) – Java - Remote – €90,000

A specialist financial software company based in Frankfurt is looking for a talented Software Engineer with strong domain knowledge in banking or insurance environments.

This role is ideal for someone with an analytical, mathematical mindset who understands how financial products such as loans, guarantees, deposits and complex financial transactions are structured, validated and processed within enterprise systems.

The company is developing a modern tool focused on financial transaction management and loan validation, and they need someone who can combine deep technical expertise with real financial domain understanding.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Developing backend modules for financial transactions, loans and guarantees
• Implementing and validating complex loan logic within a modern software platform
• Working in an Oracle-based environment with modern Java technologies
• Contributing to the design and evolution of a new financial transaction tool
• Acting as a technical contact for customers when discussing financial logic and system behaviour

This role sits between development and consultancy - you’ll be primarily hands-on, but also intellectually engaged in solving complex financial challenges.

What They’re Looking For

• Strong Java development experience (Spring Boot preferred)
• Solid experience with Oracle databases – this is essential
• Background in banking, financial services or insurance
• Experience working with loans, guarantees, deposits or transaction processing
• Strong analytical / mathematical mindset
