Software Engineer (Java/Spark) at BairesDev

We’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong Java skills and hands‑on experience building or working with distributed data processing systems. You understand how frameworks like Spark handle large‑scale workloads, you’re comfortable working in cloud‑native, containerized environments, and you care about writing code that performs reliably at scale. Whether you’ve contributed to open source projects or built platform components on top of these systems, what matters most is a solid grasp of how distributed data platforms work in practice.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and maintain Java-based components for distributed data processing platform infrastructure.
• Work with Spark or similar frameworks to build and optimize large-scale data workloads.
• Build and deploy platform services in Kubernetes‑native, containerized cloud environments.
• Investigate and resolve performance and reliability issues in distributed data processing systems.
• Collaborate with platform and data engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering standards across the team.

What We Are Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in IT roles.
• 3+ years of experience with Java as a primary programming language.
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Spark or similar distributed data processing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience working in Kubernetes or containerized cloud environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
