Our Space Business Unit is expanding rapidly. We’re looking for talented software engineers who want to shape the future of European space missions and contribute to high‑impact satellite programs across simulation, embedded systems, and spacecraft operations.
As a Software Engineer in our Space Unit, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team developing advanced software solutions for satellite platforms. Whether you're building simulation environments, embedded control systems, or spacecraft databases, your work will directly support flight operations, mission readiness, and system reliability.
Depending on your background and interests, your role may include:
Simulation & Test Engineering
- Develop simulation models for satellite equipment and space environments.
- Enhance simulation frameworks, user interfaces, and debugging tools.
- Execute unit, integration, and validation tests aligned with ECSS standards.
- Support mission preparation and simulator maintenance.
Embedded Systems Development
- Implement control software for satellite constellations using C/C++ and RTOS (e.g. RTEMS, VxWorks).
- Integrate hardware/software components and optimise system performance.
- Conduct embedded software testing and debugging.
- Populate and manage the Satellite Reference Database (SRDB) with mission‑critical data.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate command and telemetry data.
- Support spacecraft operations and contribute to database tool improvements.
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Mandatory experience with ECSS or DO-178B standards.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and optionally Java.
- Experience with Linux environments, embedded systems, or relational data bases.
- Familiarity with tools such as Git, JIRA, DOORS, Qt, and debugging/test frame works.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
- Independent, proactive, and team‑oriented mindset.
