Solution Architect – Data, Apache Airflow, Python, Git, Gitlab, Hbase, German Speaking – 100% Remote (Part Time)

Overview
A large global organisation are looking for a Solution Architect to contribute to the design and implementation of a centralized DataHub on a multi-node infrastructure platform. Data from multiple source will be integrated into a centralized data model, which will also provide data to external sinks for productive use in other systems.

Contract Details
This will be a 6–12 months+ contract with the possibility of multiple extensions.
You will be required to work between 20 – 25 hours per week (50% effort).
This position can be worked 100% remotely.
Fluent German in required (Spoken and Written)

Key Responsibilities/Skills:

• Support in planning and conceptualizing data models and integrating new data sources and sinks
• Write tickets for developers based on architectural concepts
• Conduct code reviews to ensure usability and code quality for developers
• Test Airflow implementations to verify functionality and expected outcomes
• Collaborate with the team and provide technical guidance on Data Fabric and HBase usage
• Advanced understanding of Python
• Strong knowledge of data models with ability to extend and adapt them
• Basic understanding of column-based data
• Experience with Git/GitLab, code quality, and PR workflows
• Strong problem-solving and abstraction skills
• Familiarity with Agile/ Scrum methodologies.
• Apache Airflow for automation of imports and exports (DAGs for pipeline definitions)
• HBase as a persistence layer for data model-relevant information
• Gitlab for code tracking, versioning, and documentation
