Sous Chef (m/f/d)

Overview

We are looking for an ambitious Sous Chef who loves what they do and is ready to take the next step toward becoming a Head Chef. This role is for someone proactive, hands-on and eager to take responsibility. You will work in a kitchen with a strong foundation and well-established processes, while having real space to contribute ideas, improve daily workflows and grow into a leading role. We see this position as a clear development path toward becoming Head Chef in the near future, based on performance and commitment.

Your Tasks

• Hands-on leadership of the kitchen and being actively present during service
• Contributing ideas to menu development and seasonal changes
• Ensuring consistent quality, taste and presentation of all dishes during assigned shifts
• Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service and daily operations
• Supporting the establishment and maintenance of kitchen standards and preparation guidelines
• Training staff and ensuring compliance with hygiene and HACCP regulations
• Collaborating with management on menu planning, pricing and food cost control, first with guidance and later independently
• Supporting orders, supplier communication and proper storage of goods

Your Qualifications

• Experience as a Head Chef or in a comparable senior kitchen role
• A natural leadership style and strong sense of responsibility
• Experience in a high-volume upscale restaurant would be an advantage
• Passion for the culinary arts and desire to continuously improve cooking skills
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine would be an advantage
• Knowledge of inventory control systems
• English skills are required, other languages, especially German, would be an advantage
• Berlin Residence and Ready-to-Start Status are required
